Rosie Robinson, MRSS, PresidentThe Lord gave Stan and Rosie a vision to open up a drug and alcohol center in 2007. While praying and meditating on God's Word, the name for the center was revealed.
The Brook name came from 1 Kings 17:2-6. Elijah was at the brook and the ravens fed him there. The Brook would be a place where people would find hope and love. They were to teach them that by the Word of God, their minds would be renewed and their lives transformed. Stan and Rosie have been married for 20 years and have 5 children. |

Alicia Raschel, CADC, CPSI was born in Springfield Missouri. I am happily married and have three girls. I am a survivor of sexual abuse and rape and a recovering addict. I also live with CPTSD. God has helped me learn to overcome my trauma and addictions and manage my CPTSD. He has given me a passion for helping sexual abuse survivors find their strength and overcome their trauma. It is my belief that Gods love is bigger than our anger and our pian. I have worked for a suicide hotline for two years, worked in youth ministries as a leader for ten years. I also started and ran my own foundation for survivors of sexual abuse and rape called “Be Restored” for 5 years. I am currently in college to obtain my bachelor’s in psychology with a minor in criminology, and plan on continuing my education to obtain my graduate degree in clinical social work to become a licensed counselor. I love walking with others as they overcome their obstacles, discover themselves, and find a new and healthier way to live.

Heather Jacobson, Grant Writer/Manager and Substance Use Disorder CounselorI am an advocate, a voice, and a counselor for those who suffer from substance use disorders and homelessness. With lived experience in both substance use and homelessness, I have a great passion to help those who have found themselves in this dark world. I have lived around the world and experienced many different cultures that have developed my cultural competency. Visiting Barcelona Spain, in fourth grade, I witnessed homelessness that motivated me to help those without their basic human rights. At an early age I witnessed substance use as a coping mechanism to those living without shelter. Working in the field of substance use I have worn many hats, but at my core I am an advocate for those who experience trauma and are underserved. I believe everyone can change and that education is key.
I have a passion for the neuroscience of addiction and love to teach others. I am a grant writer/manager, substance use disorder counselor, housing coordinator, and I am data driven. I love everything to do with the outdoors and my family. |
